Women in Film Chicago Student Division

Women In Film Chicago provides a network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and opportunities in Chicago, and builds a solid educational platform as well. We are also an event-based organization, planning events such as our Back Lot, and our Build-a-Skill series, where we go inside production facilities, agencies, studios and networks, for an educational overview of how these companies approach and support the creative process, and workshops where we learn real world knowledge, and much more.

As a student member, you have the opportunity to network with all collegiate peers throughout Chicago, collaborate on your own projects, and meet Chicago working professionals at our numerous events. Our student members have preferential placement with our Mentorship Program, and also get the same discounts from sponsors and vendors in Chicago as our full membership members.

The membership fee for one year is $35, and we also require our student members to volunteer 15 hours a year at either our events or with one of our committees of their choice. When you volunteer you get into events FOR FREE! Also for non-volunteered events you will receive member discount pricing.

We focus on networking, building your professional circle, and education. Through WIFC you will have the opportunity to experience the professionalism of the film and media community of Chicago, and also be a part of a strong organization.
