OUR MISSION •

Women in Film Chicago (WIF Chicago) is a nonprofit membership organization for all creative content professionals. With a focus on driving the advancement of women in this industry, WIF Chicago provides a dynamic network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and opportunities and builds a solid educational platform to accelerate the professional development of our members.

Top off the night with a light reception provided by Women in Film with the director and producer in one of theWit's gorgeous halls--with fantastic views of the city!

WIFC invites all professional-level members to join us on the evening of June 4th, 2009, for a special screening of the just-produced documentary, We Believe: The Movie (the story of Chicago and its Cubs).

Held at the state-of-the-art SCREEN theater at theWIT, Chicago's newest boutique hotel, the evening will kick off with an exclusive screening of highlights from We Believe: The Movie.

An intimate Q & A session with Emmy-nominated director John Scheinfeld (The U.S. vs. John Lennon) and producer Chad Smith (Freakonomics; due out in 2010) will follow, as they share their experiences creating a documentary film in Chicago.

Topics to include: the art of the Chicago story; strategy behind grassroots marketing and promotion of an independent feature.

A raffle featuring two tickets to the film's premiere, June 12th, at the Chicago Theater, and a night at theWit will end the evening with a bang.
